How did you develop your personal taste? Over time you chose preferences for each art element. Think about what you prefer in each of these elements. I’ll give you two of many possible choices for each, but add whatever is your true choice.
- Line - Do you like curvy, fluttery things or straight, simple silhouettes?
- Color – Do you prefer solid bold colors or lighter pastel tints?
- Texture – Do you like nubby, fluffy textures or smooth silky ones?
- Shapes – Do you like small patterns or big bold ones?
The same preferences you use picking your clothes are the same ones you use arranging your living room, planning your garden and choosing new dinnerware. These preferences are your personal art code, uniquely your own.
